I am a Canadian born in Nova Scotia, lived in Quebec then onto Ontario. I met my second husband on-line in a chat room about 8+ years ago now. I have family on both sides of the border. Both my sons reside in Ontario along with my grandkids, who I miss immensely. I am currently looking into adopting a Canadian Foster grandchild from Ontario but am finding it a difficult task because of needing visas etc for him to come here to be adopted. Otherwise I love North Carolina and the weather suits this Ol' Canadian girl just fine too.

I was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. I moved to Sacramento, California in 1977 to marry my now ex-husband. Everyone who knows me here is well aware of how proud I am to still be a Canadian. They look forward to when I put my giant-size Canada flag on my flagpole each Canada's Day! I rarely run into fellow Canadians so finding this website is exciting. It's nice to know that there are other fellow Canadians close by!

We moved from Toronto to the Bay area in August of 2006. I am Canadian Chartered accountant and am also licensed in the US. Had to come to the Bay area given the nature of my work experience. I haven't met anybody from Canada out here so far. I miss Toronto a lot in spite of the warm and wonderful weather out here.
It will be great to hear from Canadians in the Bay area.

To all my Fellow Canucks! I moved to Miami, FL back in 2000 after finishing my contract with the Congress of Aboriginal People. I am from the Metis Nation of Ontario. I truly miss my fellow Canadians. After 8 years here in Miami I am still in culture shock so I always look for a opportunity to talk with my fellow Canadians. Now take off, eh!

I moved to Missouri 2 years ago to work in the medical field. Who knew that I'd get married to an American and now I'm going through papers to become a permanent resident. Working in rural Missouri has been rough especially when patients ask if "those are my real teeth". I really miss Canada, especially Tim Hortons and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs play. However, living with my husband in Rolla, has been enjoyable thus opening a new chapter in my life!

My husband and I moved to Fernley, Nevada in January of 2005. We have enjoyed our stay here and in fact hope to obtain a greencard in the near future. In January 08 we experienced flooding in Fernley which destroyed much of our home. Not being US citizens or permanent residents we do not qualify for any kind of federal assistance. We understand the rules and aren't going bitter about it. But we do want to caution others who don't hold permanent resident status to either be insured up to your eyeballs or get the status. Nevadans are a great people. They have responded to this disaster in an amazing way. There's no other place we would rather be right now than right here.

I was born and raised in a small town in northern Ontario (Manitouwadge) and moved to London, Ontario in 1989 where I began my work in the private investigation and security industry.
The turn of the century was a big change for me as I bought my first home, got married to my wife Elham and started my own firm. We are now settled here in Phoenix. It sure was a different Christmas out here than from back home and I must say a welcome change.
We are looking forward to meeting other Canadians here, (we know you are out here as we see your plates all over the valley) and maybe even creating some of that Canadian peace of mind for our fellow Americans.

Hello to all of you travellers of the continent of North America! Patriotism was never huge on my list until I immigrated to Blanding, Utah. My Husband was a former United States Navy SEAL and would fly his colors with pride. I am a very proud Canadian and I fly my color high and proud with all the cultural diversities that come with me.
I miss the butter tarts, the coffee with friends and the waitress that puts coffee as first priority and all of those wonderful kind speaking citizens of Canada. I am very sorry for the deep freeze the prairies are feeling right now and feel very cozy in my Southern home, remembering what it was like.
I am now a widow and am sponsoring myself and my four daughters to remain here. I finished my bachelors degree as an RN and am looking for a new state, new job, and a new United States community to share my stories with as all my extended family is in Canada.
A tip: There is a Canuck store in Salt Lake City, Utah were you can buy those ketchup chips and Hawkins Cheezies, AH!

I'm a French Canadian living for more than 25 years in Scottsdale, Arizona. I moved in the Valley of the Sun from Vancouver, BC and never looked back. What brought me here? LOVE. I met my husband in Montreal. The rest of my family (9) live in Quebec and I visit almost every year, however they visit me and I love to be their guide.
Arizona is a state that has so much to offer and our Sonoran Desert is one of the most desirable place to live, not only for the weather, but also for the lifestyle.
I am a Realtor for more than 13 years and I live in Scottsdale with my son who is a Sophomore at ASU in Tempe.
I recommend to all Canadians to come and visit Arizona. You will be delighted by what our state has to offer and why people like to live in the Valley of the Sun.
